Divorce of expats in the UAE and its international recognition

Hi,

I am an Australian, currently married to a British wife. We were married in the US. We both live in the UAE and wish to divorce here.

We believe this to be the quickest and easiest process. If we do a UAE divorce by mutual consent, is this internationally recognized?

Hi,

As per your query, the divorce decree can be filed here in the UAE as per the marriage, and then the same can be attested and validated (if necessary, it should be through courts in that country) in other foreign counties where it is duly applicable.

The mutual consent divorce in the UAE is internationally recognized through proper procedures.

Please contact us via phone or email for further clarification.

Dear client,

Good day!

Yes, it is possible that mutual divorce is recognized. You need to sign the divorce agreement and go to the court to get a decree. If you want assistance then, the lawyer can assist you in getting that.

For further assistance, please feel free to contact us via phone or email.

Thank you!
