Selling of joint property

Hi, My x-wife and I are joint owners of a property in Arabian Ranches Dubai. Both names are on the deeds. She has rented it out without my consent for the last few years, by forging my signature.

How can I ensure she does not sell it? She collected the deeds from the land registry.

Thank you.

Dear Sir,

As per your inquiry forging someone's signature is a criminal offence as per existing UAE regulations and UAE Penal Code which is punishable with jail imprisonment and penalty as well. Since you are the joint owner of Dubai property so she can not rent it out without your consent. If you doubt that she may sell it, we can request the court under precautionary attachment to stop the selling immediately to protect your interest.

It would be good if you can share with us the copy of title deed of the subject property, your marriage certificate if available, any other agreement in place. We will review it and will get back to you with the precise opinion, our law office in UAE is fully capable to advise and assist you on this legal matter.
