Getting back to the KSA while there is unpaid loan

I worked in the KSA from 2014 to 2016. I was paying a loan. I had been forced to leave for no reason.

They (the collection agency) did admit that:

"...we believe that your purpose was not to defraud the bank & your intentions are to repay back your liabilities but due to unavoidable circumstances, the account remained unpaid, considering your present status, we will try our level best to work out the best payment plan for mutual benefits. The bank shall be constrained to proceed with necessary actions to protect the legitimate interests of the Bank. If the same is not been honoured."

I plan to go back to the KSA as an offer is being processed. A friend has checked my name through the system and there was NO red flag or claim against my name.

I am going back regardless of the outcome because I committed no act of crime or defrauding. I've tried to offer them a plan to pay back when I arrive in the kingdom but they always seem to ignore it and just want me to pay back on a "one-time" payment.

Dear client,

There is no crime in taking a loan in Saudi Arabia with no repayment. The only choices the banks have are:

1- Register your name on SAMA as bankrupt and, in this case, you won't be able to take another loan from any other Saudi bank due to your credit history.

2- The bank may use the commercial papers signed by you within the executive court to obligate you to pay according to article 35 of the executive code.

3- The judge may see that you must be imprisoned according to article 46 of the same code in case that you meant not to repay.

So you can come back with no fear of getting caught in the airport since your name is not registered in the wanted list.

Also, we may represent you before the bank to try to reschedule the due payments.

For more information, you can contact us via phone or email.

Best regards,

Thank you very much, dear sir.

Of course! I will use your services to end this when I get back to the KSA. I'll communicate with you via email before I arrive.

Thank you again!
