Filing a case from abroad against a tenant because of a bounced cheque
I am a landlord. The tenant's cheque bounced, and he refuses to pay the cheque knowing that I am living abroad. I would like to know if a lawyer can file a case on my behalf for the bounced cheque.
I am looking forward to understanding what can I do to preserve my rights.

First of all, it will be proper to know under which Emirate the tenancy is?
In Dubai, the land department rules are applicable and you may open a case against the tenant in order to evict him.
As per the law, within 30 days' notice, if the tenant does not pay, then you can evict him.
Also, you can open a criminal case on cheque bounce.
As of now, the first step is to provide legal notice to the tenant and then file for eviction.
A case can be filed with a Power of Attorney, which can be done even if you are staying abroad.
