The need for a company to receive payments of services outside the UAE

I want to run a global e-com business and would not trade in the UAE.

I am living in the UAE for some time and would only receive my international payments in the UAE.

Do I still need to get an e-com license from the UAE?

Hello,

Receiving sums of money in the form of payments will generate concerns regarding the source of such payments.

Even though you will not be trading directly in the UAE, setting up a branch, holding company or another type of similar license will be beneficial.

You will definitely need a trade license which you can issue from the offshore as your bank might have questions about your international transactions.
