Terminating a property contract when the unit is not registered with Oqood
I have not received my Oqood registration document from my developer after making the 4% fee payment on Aug 18. What are my options? Can I pull out of the contract? I have the signed SPA from the developer and all payments are up to date with receipts/invoices to prove.
I am based in the UK so showing my documents is difficult. I am currently just considering my options. Am I able to withdraw from my contract if my unit has not been registered with Oqood?

Hope you are doing well.
As per your questions, there are a variety of options according to Dubai Land Department laws and regulations for Oqood.
We also have to read the SPA and the terms and conditions therein.
Further, the Oqood registration document can be obtained from the Land Department (however, we need to check your receipts and documents).
However, being in the UK is not a problem, many of our clients who are property buyers are abroad and we co-ordinate through telephone or email.
Also, there are certain formalities that need to be fulfilled before proceeding with any options for clients living abroad.
NB- Other options:
i) Termination is possible if you do not want to continue with the project; or
ii) If you want to sell the project, that option is also available.
