Renewal of the visas while the company license is expired
Dear All,
We have visas thanks to a company in the free zone of Um Al Quwain, which has no activity.
We are residents in Dubai: what will happen if we do not renew the company license with our 2 years visas?
Can we still keep them and then, the second question, will it be an easier and cheaper solution to have visas in Dubai?
Well, legally you are required to cancel your visas when the license expires or renew the license and the visas.
You may be fined if you continue to hold the visas without a renewed license when you do go to cancel it eventually.
Unless you intend to leave the country without cancelling your visas, in which case you will be fined when you want to enter the country.
I would think that Umm Al Quwain and RAK would be the cheapest free zones to have a visa. However, if you intend on conducting an IT business, then you could think of the Media City Free Zone in Dubai.
