Refusing to cancel the visa despite serving the notice period

My employment contract has been terminated and I have served my 2 months' notice, but my employer will not cancel my visa.

Is this illegal?

If I leave the country, can my employer file a case against me for absconding?

If you leave the country without canceling the visa, of course, a complaint will be filed against you for escaping.

You should check with the department of labor with all the papers that prove that you resigned from the job and issued an ultimatum.
