Getting a new visa from a new employer without canceling the old, expired one
Hi,
My friend had been working in a company for 2 years. Now, his visa got expired 1-2 weeks ago and he got an offer from another company.
He wants to join the new company so he is requesting his old company to cancel his visa but the company is delaying.
So is it possible to get a new visa from the new company without cancellation of the old visa as it is already expired?

Since the visa has already expired, there is no need to cancel the visa. However, your friend should go to his ex-employer and tell them that he does not wish to renew the visa and that they should make him sign the necessary forms if required.
He has 30 days from expiry to exit the country or apply for a new visa through the new employer. He can get a new visa because his earlier visa has expired.
He needs to go to the immigration and check that the expiry has been recorded in the system to avoid any problems at the time of applying for the new visa.
