Checking a labour ban before returning to the UAE for a new job

Hi!

I just want to ask if it is possible for me to go back and work in the UAE after my labour ban.

I have resigned from my work and was cancelled and my employer gave me 6 months ban through the ministry of labour because of breaking the contract.

Thank you!

Hope you will help me.

Dear Questioner,

Which kind of ban did he give you?

Did you go to Al Aweer centre and do the eye scan?

If yes, we need to go to the immigration department and check if the ban was removed or not.

In case you need my help, please feel free to contact me at my email.

Best Regards,

Raluca Gatina.

Hello!

Thanks for answering.

When I was in Twafouq, the employee there talked to me and my employer they said they will put a labour ban on me.

They gave me cancellation paper and there was no stamp on my passport that I was cancelled. It is even not indicated in that cancellation paper that I have a ban.

How will I know that I have a ban?

When I was at the airport and I was about to go home we asked the immigration officer in Dubai Airport, he checked my passport and he said I have no ban.

I was very confused about what really is true. I want to know because I need to work again, I want to go back work and this thing is preventing me from applying again for a new job and going back to the UAE.

Hope you can help me.

Thank you.

Dear Questioner,

In this situation, we need to check your criminal records and see if there is any travel ban restriction under your name.

In order to do this, I need a Power of Attorney (POA) from you, allowing me to represent you in front of the relevant authorities in the UAE.

I will provide you with the template of the POA after you will send me a scanned copy of your passport, UAE visa and previous Emirates ID.

The POA needs to be notarized and attested by the UAE Embassy in the country of issuance.

Once the POA is notarized and attested, you will courier the original to our office.

Once I receive the original POA, I will attest it here in UAE Ministry Of Foreign Affairs and then check your police and immigration records.

After checking we will issue a report and advise you on the next steps (in case there are some criminal records under your name).

If you wish to proceed, please send me a scanned copy of your passport, visa and Emirates ID on my email.

Best Regards,

Raluca Gatina
