Stamping visa when there is a pending civil case

While there is an active civil case, can the person still work and stamp an employment visa and use his/her bank accounts in the UAE until the verdict is out for the particular case?

Hello.

If an individual has a criminal case, there a possibility to renew the existing residence visa and send the passport with a representative of Public Prosecution (requires a special request).

But it is not possible to cancel or apply for a new visa.

Hi Elias,

Thanks for the reply but I meant in a civil case, not a criminal case.

In this case, it is possible.

Thanks a lot for the clarification!

And unlike the Criminal Case, the Civil Case does not directly involve a travel ban right?

It would have to be proven in court to get an effective travel ban in the UAE.

Civil case can also involve a travel ban.

18 Dec 2019, 13:57

I see, so as soon as the civil case is filed there will be a travel ban.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration to reply to my queries.

The travel ban may be imposed in financial cases or other categories of cases on case to case basis, not automatically.

Thanks very much for your response.

If it is a civil case, it would be for recovery of the due loan amount of AED 59,000 from a principal amount of AED 95,000.
