Claiming unpaid fees from a client for provided services
This is related to a commercial question (B to B). I sold manpower services to a company. They have not paid my invoices.
According to the contract, they are obliged to pay us a 2% penalty per day on the outstanding balance, if they don't pay the outstanding balance by 15th of the following month.
Is it enforceable in the courts of law in the UAE?
My license is from SHAMS, Sharjah.
Dear Sir,
We can assist you to start a claim for the above-mentioned case.
For that, you will have to present a proof of your claim, for example, invoices, emails or letters correspondences between your company and the other company.
We can start by sending a formal legal notice, and if they don't respond, we can proceed further with proper legal action.
We will have to review all documents and invoices to understand the scenario of the case.
Please feel free to contact us further to discuss in details on the phone or email.
Regards.

Hello.
In our experience however, the courts will usually award interest at the rate of 9% in civil cases and 12% in commercial cases (unless the parties have agreed on different terms in the contract).
