Hello ma'am,

UAE residence visa invalidates if UAE residence visa holder did not enter the country for more than 180 days.

However, the visa must be canceled in order to apply for a new visa. The application for a visa cancellation can be submitted by the sponsor, given the situation that it is your husband.

Thank you so much sir for your immediate answer!

My husband is not communicating with me anymore. And he's not giving any monetary help for my children.

I want to talk to him as soon as possible. It seems that he doesn't want me to go back to Abu Dhabi.

Can I just secure a Tourist Visa so that I can go back to the UAE?

I need to talk to him regarding our family problems.

Unfortunately, you will not be granted a tourist visa, until your previous visa gets canceled.

Thank you very much, Sir.

That is a big help. It's already clear in my mind. But really I am very sad.

Thanks. May the Good Lord bless you!

Hello ma'am,

Please be informed that your visa is automatically canceled according to the immigration law of the UAE. But you still have the chance to apply for a tourist visa.

Thank you!

Thank you so much sir for your help and information!

According to other lawyers, they said that my husband still needs to file a cancellation of my visa since he is my sponsor.

I am holding a husband-residence visa. Is it already automatically canceled because I stayed 6 1/2 months outside the UAE? Which one is true and correct?

Thank you again sir for your answer!

Yes, it is correct. I only answered your inquiry, but regarding the procedures, yes, your husband should apply for cancellation.

Thank you!
