You may hold assets like house, bank accounts, shares in a company... etc in the UAE. If you are deported from the UAE, you can issue a Special Power of Attorney from your home country to a person in the UAE who will have the power to withdraw money or sell the shares/ house on your behalf.

You will have to note that this person can also take the money on your behalf so the person you give power to should be someone trusted and within your close circle.

Giving a Power of Attorney from the home country goes through a series of stamping and attestation which could add to costs.

Instead, if you are in UAE, you may consider preparing a Power of Attorney giving powers to another person to deal with the assets like an owner.

Appointing an attorney will be your option in case you were deported.

In addition, if you are a non-Muslim you should be considering drafting and registering a Will in the UAE for your assets.

Otherwise, the inheritance will be distributed as per Sharia Law, regardless of religion or the home country inheritance laws.
