Q: Good Day Madam!!
I am working in this company for the past 4.2 years. I sent my resignation letter through the mail on a Thursday evening, which is a weekend.
But I have calculated my 1 month notice period from Sunday onwards. Is this resignation legally valid & accepted?
1 more important info; my previous contract got over on the 20th of Jan 2019. After I never signed a new contract.
So as of now, I don't have an existing contract. Am I still subjected to the previous contract's terms & conditions?

Q: I'm on a limited contract with a company in Dubai, I have been working since Jan 2011.
My current labour contract will expire on 21 Jan 19 & my residence visa will expire on 3 Feb 19.
I have informed my company not to renew my contract on 30 Dec 18 & want to discontinue working.
Now, they say that I need to provide 3 months' notice for non-renewal of contract and wanted me to work until 31 Mar 19.
Can you please advise

Q: Hi Sir / Madam,
Please help.
My employment contract was limited and expired on 26 Mar 2020, which I did not renew.
Now it's 20 April 2020 almost one month and my company has not provided my end of service benefits, leave salary and exit ticket to the home country.
The company is forcing to sign and threatening that I will be responsible for the fines if I did not sign the cancellation papers.
They are not even showing the final settlement amount just claiming we will be providing all things after cancellation only.
Kindly advise.

Q: Dear Madam,
My limited contact finished and the company didn't renew the contract. The visa validity finished on 11 April 2020 and I am in the grace period now.
Until now, my company didn't settle my dues including the leave salary and gratuity and they are forcing me to sign the cancellation papers without giving the pending dues including the exit air ticket. My passport is with the company.
What to do now? Seeking your advice on this situation.
How long they can they hold my passport & do I get any fines for overstay if I didn't sign the cancellation papers even after the grace period?
Please advise.

Q: Sir,
I am M. S. holding a limited contract - engineer visa, and working in a private company.
My labor contract will expire on September 24. I got a better opportunity with twice of salary which I am getting previously.
I sent the non-renewal letter on 19 August 2021, with 30 days notice period. I need to join the new company on or before Sept 19.
The new company can hold the offer maximum till September 2021. My company is not willing to give the release within 30 days.
They will delay the release and this will lead to losing my job offer. Can I join the company after completing 30 days?
Kindly advise.

Hi.
One of my friends joined a Telegram group. They said, "We will transfer some amount to your account, and your task is to transfer this amount to another account. Once the task is completed, you will get 30 or 50 AED per task."
He completed 3 to 4 tasks, but he realized it was not good, so he stopped. After one week, when he opened his account, it was blocked, and the bank said, "We are conducting an investigation; after this, we will let you know."
After some days, he had an accident and went to his home country. He then received a call from a landline number, which was from the Abu Dhabi police station.
They said, "We have received a complaint against you; come to our investigation department." However, due to his surgery and treatment, he could not go.
After some time, his bank account was reopened, and he did not receive any further calls. I want to know, if he comes back to the UAE or goes to any other GCC country, will he face any problems?
If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country?
