Questions & Answers
How many times can labour court judgement be appealed?
My salary labour case has been going on for 7 months now. After the 1st judgement, the owner appealed because of which I had to wait again and go for the 2nd judgement.
Question1: Can he appeal 2nd time again?
Question2: I have a Job Offer. I want to cancel this visa of my previous employer. What should I do as enough time has already been wasted?
Help appreciated!

The Court of First Instance (minor or major circuits) is the competent court to hear labour cases and issue a judgement which can be appealed if the claimed value of the case is more than AED 20,000. The ruling of the Court of Appeal cannot be challenged before the Court of Cassation if the value of the case is less than AED 200,000. So it depends on the claim amount.
You can apply for a temporary work permit by making an application to grant you the relevant permission.
STEP 1 - Request the court to provide you with certificate stating that you have a labour case pending before the court
STEP 2 - Apply to the Ministry of Labour to grant you permission to work temporarily for six months. Attach the Court certificate with the application related to the temporary work permit before the Ministry of Labour.
This may grant you the temporary work permit.
