Claiming maintenance for wife and child from husband
2
Q: Both my husband and I are Indian - Keralite Roman Catholic staying in Dubai. I have been a victim of emotional and financial domestic abuse from my husband and my in-laws over dowry. Where do I stand legally in this matter?
A year ago, my husband abandoned me and my child in my parents' place and went to Australia. He does not want to communicate with me despite my efforts of trying to contact him and remains hostile towards me. Where do I stand legally?
Mine and my child’s maintenance has always been provided for by my parents and self-finance (I am working too) because of my husband’s bank loans and job loss in Dubai.
Now he found employment in Australia but he does not want to provide maintenance for me and my child. Additionally, he demands that I pay for his business class tickets if I want him to come to Dubai to keep my UAE visa.
Can I claim for maintenance from my husband without a divorce In this regard?

Filing a case for child custody and maintenance

Q: Dear Sir,
My husband and I are separated. I have a 7-month-old baby to whom he provided no support whatsoever, however, he is holding all her IDs with the intention of harming me.
Would it be possible to open a case and ask to be the guardian and custodian of the baby, so that all the rights will be with me and the so-called father will have no responsibilities nor rights over the child?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Fatma

Acting against the threats of husband after abandoning family
3
Q: I am here in India and my husband works in Dubai. He has abandoned me and my children.
He is calling me up now and threatening me of committing suicide, and also he wrote a suicide letter which mentions my name on it so that I get caught.
I have a video where I have recorded all this conversation of him threatening me on a call. I have already reported this matter to Dubai police but no action has been taken.
I want to report against him for mental harassment against me and my children and non-stop threats to my life, along with mentally harassing me with suicide threats.

Wife alimony and child support before and after divorce

Q: Husband has been on visit visa for about 1 year + and has not got any permanent job. He has zero balance in his bank account.
Question: 1. How will this affect my alimony and child support case? How can I demand this from the judge?
2. Aside from this, can I still file a claim for 3 years of alimony because he did not provide for our family since we got married?
I am working and has been the provider to the family. Our divorce case is still ongoing.

No response deadline from judge for husband on maintenance request. What now?

1
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I had submitted an urgent request through the Al Adheed Centre to seek alimony/maintenance from my husband for the expenses of myself and my son.
Our court case has been ongoing for a while, and we are not currently living together. As of now, my husband has not been providing any maintenance.
Today, the judgment was delivered, and the judge stated, "The person against whom the claim is made shall be notified for comment" (يخطر المعروض ضده للتعقيب). What does this mean?
Additionally, the judge did not specify a date for my husband to submit a response or make payments.
Please advise!

After two months, he didn’t like the company and left. After two years, we did not know where he was. We just heard that he left to Tunisia before his visa expired.

Can an employer post an employee’s photo on social media without their consent? 0
Hello,
Can an employer post an employee's photo on social media, LinkedIn or Instagram, without the employee's consent?
Secondly, the employer is forcing the employee to update the company details in the employee's profile.
I believe LinkedIn and Instagram are personal profiles and one cannot be forced to update the details. This photo was taken in the office.
