Calculation of the end of service benefits upon termination
I am working in an oil & gas company as an engineer. I completed 1 year 4 months.
Currently, they are going to close the department in the UAE and the company gave me a letter with the subject stating the cancellation of the contract immediately.
My basic pay is AED 14500. Please explain to me what will be the end of service benefits as per the UAE rules?

In case you have completed one or more than one year of continuous service, you are entitled to 21 days wage.
In case the company provided you with accommodation or money for it and you have already paid in advance the lease, then you can try to negotiate with your employer.
However, I would suggest we meet to review all your employment documents and advise you regarding your entitlements.
