Help with checking a job offer if it is genuine or fake

Hi.

Please help!

I have been offered a job in Dubai at Suhara hospital, UAE. The contract has been sent to me to sign and send back. It is asking I contact Sapna travels LLC for the travel visa.

I got this today 18th June and it’s asking they receive my permit and work visa for 4 years to be sent by the 27th June so they can pay me my 2 months salary in advance for travel...etc.

Seems rather quick. I have had no interview either just my cv I sent over. There is a mention of expenses related to me relocating which will be reimbursed in 5 days after submitting receipts.

Not sure if this is genuine or fake. Please help and guide me on how to go about this?

My family think it may be fake. The offer seems too good to be true. Any ideas on how to check authenticity?

I am now worried if it is fake, they have my cv details i.e. home address, email, telephone number...etc.

Kind regards

J. B.

Hello J.,

I certainly suggest that you should try to reach the hospital authorities and confirm.

Through the internet, specifically, LinkedIn may be. Linkedin seems like a safer choice. At least find someone who works there and reach out.

You have enough reason to worry. I don't know anything about Dubai Hospitals, but in Turkey and in general, hiring without an interview is not normal.

When you make sure that it's fake, you can press charges against them, file a criminal complaint and say that they are recording, using your personal data against your will and consent.

It's not legal, there are penal sanctions. If you live in Turkey, I can also help you with that.

It doesn't matter if you don't know who they are. You can press charges against someone you don't know. It's prosecution office's job to find them.

Hi Gulnihal

Thank you for your reply.

I am from the UK as there was no option to select this. But I found an article on LinkedIn from March 2019 warning people of Suhara hospital scam. So I now know it is fake.

Could you please advise who I can report to as you know I am afraid of identity fraud now.

Thank you

J.

Hi again,

You're welcome. I'm glad that you've found that article on LinkedIn.

As I said, you can file a criminal complaint and say that they are recording, using your personal data against your will and consent. It's not legal in the UK also.

I found this website, it may help.
