How to retrieve passports from the police after interrogation
2
Q: My family's passports are detained. Three months ago I have been brought in for questioning on whether my children are mine at Al-Muraqqabat police station in Dubai. Afterwards, the government took our DNA.
A few weeks later, the government asked for our passports and took them. Since then, we have not received any updates on the case.
Is there anything we can do to resolve this case?

Luring for adultery and the proper legal action
2
Q: Hi there,
I’ve tried getting some help from you, however, I’m yet to hear back.
I’m seeking advice on the topic of adultery where my husband and I are from the UK and the lady is resident in Dubai. She is Canadian, but working for the Emirates Airlines.
My husband broke the relationship with her, but the lady keeps continuously contacting my husband asking him to leave me and our two small sons (5 years and 4 months).
She often gets under the influence of alcohol and on those occasions, she is even more aggressive with her approach. As the girl works for the airline, she has frequent trips to London.
I would like to see if there’s anything I can do to stop her trying to break our family. We do not want to get divorced, we are trying to strengthen our bond.
I understand that my husband was also at fault, however, he’s been trying to make amends for his mistake and find a way away from this girl but she would not stop contacting us.
Thank you for your help!
Best,
Agnes Gorgyan

Taking action on flirting messages exchanged with the wife
11
Q: Hi,
I need to know the legal consequences of sending intimate (like true lovers) Whatsapp messages to a married woman.
Here is the situation. X (husband) and Y (wife) are a couple and they are based in Canada. However, Y is getting separated from X and seeking a divorce.
While Y was in India as part of getting separated from X, another person A sent intimate Whatsapp messages to her. Also, note that A and Y are in love.
The person A is based out of Dubai currently. Is there any legal element to this situation if the person X files a case against A in UAE?
Please clarify.

Is flirting with a married woman on Whatsapp a crime in the UAE?
5
Q: Dear Mr Elnaggar,
I would really appreciate your help.
What are the consequences of having a Whatsapp relationship with a married woman (with kids)? Only over Whatsapp, nothing physical.
Her husband found out by reading her Whatsapp messages. If he decides to take it to the courts in Dubai, what are we looking at here?
P.S. all parties here are Canadians.
Thanks

Seeking divorce because the husband is cheating on his wife
2
Q: Hello,
My husband is cheating on me with other different women. I was always forgiving him. He always promised not to do that again and how important I and my son are to him. Unfortunately, he did it again. He damaged my heart.
I have already filed a case through a legal consultant. As I know, only local lawyers are allowed to represent at the court. I am searching for a local lawyer with affordable fees, please.
I really need help!
We both are Muslims, my son is just 3 years.
Thank you in advance!

What to do if you received a call from a person claiming to be a lawyer 0
I received an unsolicited call on a Saturday night (6.06pm to be precise), on my mobile phone in my place of residence from a lawyer (think he's actually a partner) claiming to represent my ex-wife in a matter pertaining to a divorce agreement that was ratified in Zimbabwe at the end of August.
He threatened that the full force of his law firm will be thrown at me if I did not settle the monetary claim within 48 hours of our telephone discussion. 80% of the monetary amount in question was actually remitted that afternoon, prior to his call, which he didn't bother to inquire about.
There was no formal notification in writing that their services had indeed being retained by my ex-wife. I am not sure if he followed due process & his threats could be construed as coercion in a matter that was all but resolved.

Is it legal to discuss maintenance of a child with the employer of my ex-husband? 1
Hello.
I would like to know if it is legal or illegal to contact my ex-husband's HR dept due to his refusal to pay for child support since the birth of our child (Age 16 now). He lives and works in Dubai.
I have remarried and have other children, moved to Abu Dhabi 1 1/2 yrs back and contacted him at his office. He has failed on every promise until now. I cant afford the high legal fees to file a case.
Please, let me know what are my options. Thanks.
