Checking and removal of ban and cases from the court
Hi Sir/Mam,
I worked in Dubai for 4 years. I changed my last job in 2016. Here, I got few issues related to work with my last employer - where he deliberately tortured me to make submit resignation.
At the same time, I was cheated by a real estate company by AED 60000. I am in debt with banks through loans and credit cards and I was in too much tension about the job and came back to India without intimating the company.
I did not pay my dues since Nov 2016. Currently, I am residing in India and I want to clear my debts because I don't want to keep a negative tag and to lift the ban if anything is imposed on me.
My friend approached a lawyer who said he will support in clearing my debts through a small amount of fine via court. For this procedure, the lawyer is going to charge 10-15% of the total amount due.
Please let me know whether the court will simply knock of my case and remove the ban if I paid the fine to them (or) the lawyer is cheating us.
Please help out.
Regards,
S.

Dear Mr S.,
Thank you for reaching out to me on this.
It appears that you have multiple legal issues against your name, namely, absconding case, police case and potential judgements against you.
Firstly, since you left the company without intimating them, it is possible that the company must have levied an absconding case which will result in a lifetime ban for travelling into the UAE. This ban can only be lifted by the employer itself.
Secondly, regarding your debts, the bank must have bounced your security cheques and filed a police case. If the case is filed in the Emirate of Dubai, then you can pay a fine and clear the case (assuming the bounced cheque is under AED 200,000/-).
In summary, I do not see any sense in clearing the police cases if the absconding case is there. Since clearing the police case will not allow you to enter back in view of your travel ban.
I would advise that you do an immigration check to see if any absconding case is there on you. If there is no absconding case then you should proceed with clearing the case.
I can assist you with inspecting the immigration status and clearing the police cases if you require.
You can email me or contact on 052-9495731 for further assistance and clarification.
I trust you will find this helpful.
