Requirements for startup in the Kingdom of Bahrain
What are the requirements from the legal point of view for registering my startup in Bahrain? Where do I start?

Hi,
The answer to the question lies in two major things that are:
1. Your nationality (which will decide what activity you can practise in Bahrain);
2. The business activity which you want to practise (need to check whether this one is allowed for expats just in case you are an expat investor).
Other requirements include, but not limited to, the office address, memorandum or articles of association, opening a bank account, getting security clearance...etc.

Hi,
Congratulations on deciding to take your start-up idea to the next stage!
In order to answer your question, further information about the intended activities to be performed in Bahrain or with the Bahraini market and nationality of intended shareholders are required.
These considerations would determine the type of entity (if required), it's shareholding, required regulatory approvals, IP registrations...etc.
For us to guide you further about the best approach to bring into life your start-up more information, such as those listed above, are required.
Please feel free to get in touch at s.shaji@hraklf.com if you would like to discuss further.
All the best!
