Dispute with the landlord for a wrongful claim of non-vacating
The landlord has complained in the Rental Disputes Center that we are not vacating and has demanded 10 months rent.
Whereas our shop was already vacated and DEWA final bill was also done. In this case, what is my right and how should I proceed?

Thank you for getting in touch with me on this.
You will have to attend the sessions conducted by the Rental Dispute Center and exhibit to the judge that the premises were vacated and DEWA bills were settled.
However, if you left prematurely without giving notice of termination or non-renewal, then you might be exposed to paying full rent amount.
I believe you should get a consultation by a lawyer to go through the papers and advice on how you should proceed.
