Q: I am an employee in a company in Dubai since the last two years, with an unlimited contract and my total salary is AED 3000 (Joining date: 01/01/2016).
In the first year, I was doing an operational activity in a logistics company like documentation of all import/ export Inquiries (Designation in visa: Client Service Clerk).
In addition, I was helping the accountant as an assistant because the management decided that I shall help him in accounts. I am an employee with a postgraduate degree (M.Com Degree).
On the 4th January 2017, our accountant (Designation: Accounts Manager) left the company due to personal reasons. His salary was while joining AED 5000, and when he left the company after two years and a half that time was AED 6200.
The management asked me to take the position of an accountant and I accepted it. I was thinking that I will get AED 5000 salary of an accountant from the next month, but till this date, after 10 months, I am getting AED 3000.
I asked several times to change my designation and upgrade my salary, but they are giving the same answer that the company is at a loss.

Misrepresentation of the employee designation in his employment visa
1
Q: Dear Sir/ Madam,
In my offer letter, the designation is Accounts Manager; however, since I have not attested degree certificates the employer promised to give me Archive Clerk Visa. They took my thumb impression and signature on blank paper and later they issued me a Messenger Profession Visa.
When I inquired about the same and refused to accept the Messenger Visa, they are blaming me that I agreed to this Messenger Visa and asked me to pay the visa costs and leave.
I sent the resignation and agreed to pay the visa cost, but the visa cost is double what they have quoted.
Note: the visa is not stamped on my passport. Will I get any ban from MOL, if the visa is cancelled?
Kindly advise...
Thanks in advance

Filing a labor complaint when forced to sign on demotion
0
Q: Hi.
I have been promoted from Coordinator role to Manager role in February 2017. In these months I have never received any complaint from my manager regarding my performance, no any written notice or warning.
A month ago, my manager said that she thinks I have some communication problem, and I cannot work under stress. For that reason, my manager wants to demote me and cut my salary. It has been said in the email without any clarification.
Next day, she called me for a meeting to offer me Support position and said that my salary will be decreased by 35%. I agreed verbally, as I have been scared to lose the job if I do not take this offer.
There hasn't been any notification in writing provided to me. Now, I have to renew my visa as my company will cancel my old visa to apply for a new one, and I will be requested to sign the letter with the demotion. I don't want to do this, as I think it is illegal.
May you please advise what will happen if I refuse to sign that paper and if they will terminate me because of it.
Thanks.
Tatiana.

When does the salary change after an internal position change?

0
Q: I am a fresh graduate who has been a full-time intern with a company that only covers transportation for over a year while completing my studies. I graduated this May.
In March of this year, they offered me a full-time employment contract since I was now near completion of my degree.
They still kept me on the internship allowance (AED 1000) until I submit all documents for visa processing.
I have submitted all my documents for processing towards the end of May. My grace period after cancellation has also expired on the 25th of June.
They are still paying me the internship allowance. Now that the visa is pending on their side, shouldn't they be paying me the full salary?
I also think they should have paid me the full salary once I signed the contract regardless of the visa status since I was already working for them.
Please let me know whether I should push the company to pay my full salary since the time I signed the contract (March) or only since this month (visa pending on their side)?

Terminating an employee after sick leave and claiming compensation 2
Hello,
My employer fired me under Article 44 for not showing up for work for 7 days in a row. But that’s not the case at all. I was sick and the management was aware and they let me go.
I went to another country to get treatment because it’s expensive in Dubai. My employer did not pay me my salary for the month I worked and fired me.
I have official sick leave from another country and there is correspondence where my employer sent me to another country for treatment.
The problem is that the employer says that he will take compensation for the training that was specified in the contract, but I did not undergo training at all; I immediately started work from the first day of work and there was no training.
Does my employer have the right to charge me such a fee and not pay my salary?

How to make the seller hand over the tenant's security deposit to the buyer upon completing a sale? 1
Should the seller in Dubai hand over their tenant's security deposit to the buyer upon completing a sale?
Who is responsible for managing this process?
At the time of the exchange, the broker said he would follow up with the seller and collect the deposit.
He hasn’t, and the seller has not handed over the deposit.

How to cancel the MoU to buy an apartment with the broker if the bank did not approve the loan? 2
Hi,
I have a situation where I signed an MoU and gave my security deposit to the seller's agent. However later, the bank valuation of the property is lower than the selling price.
On my MoU, it has a clause that “the buyer has a right to cancel/negotiate if the bank valuation is not the same as MoU.” I tried to negotiate, however, we didn't agree on the price so I asked to cancel.
Now the agent is threatening me that they will not cancel the MoU and that will deposit my cheque. Later I also came to know that the person I am dealing with is not the same person whose name is mentioned as a broker in the MoU.
The agent I am dealing with is constantly messaging me with threats. I decided not to speak to him and instead, I wrote an email to the broker whose name is mentioned on the MoU but received no response.
I am on a very tight timeline as I need to vacate my apartment in 3 weeks, I found another unit but I don't know if I can pursue this while the initial MoU still not canceled.
Please, I need advice.
