Dear Questioner

Legal sanctions can be imposed on any individual or organization making a false statement or advertisement on the public platform or social media.

As advertising contributes to the increase in product/service consumption, which in turn, leads to an increase in business activities.

A fine of AED 5,000 can be imposed on violators. The amount will be doubled if the offence is repeated within one year from the date of the previous violation.

However, in order to understand whether it falls under the bracket of false advertisement or publicity, we will have to check if the content published falls under this category.
