Resignation during probation period and avoiding labour ban
Hi,
I am a newcomer to Dubai, joined my current employer on Jan 2019 and working till now for a period of around 4 months.
I am working in an LLC company. I am on an unlimited term contract. As per my labour contract, the official notice period is mentioned as 1 month.
Assistance needed:
1) Can I get and move on to a new job within the first 6 months period by officially notifying my current employer and serving the notice period mentioned 1 month as per the labour contract? Would that be all fine?
2) Are there any other things that I need to look before filing my resignation since I am less than 6 months working in this company and new to Dubai?
a) Do I need to check on any labour ban?
b) Do I need to check on any immigration ban?
Please provide me with any guidance to safely resign from my current employer.
Please let me know if you need any more details.
Thanks
Regards,
B.

Dear B.
We assume you are working with an organization established on the Mainland and not with a free zone company, as free zone companies have specific regulation which needs to be verified at the free zone headquarters office.
Regarding your concern whether you can resign or not, then please note you may resign anytime you wish to resign. Just make sure you serve the notice period of 30 days.
However, in your situation as you are currently in your probation period, chances are your employer may impose a labour ban on you.
If the resignation is done mutually between the employer and employee, then there will be no 6 months ban on the employee. Accordingly, the work permit and employment are terminated.
