Early termination of employment
3
Q: Dear Sir / Madam,
I am working as Project Manager in a consulting firm. At the end of January, our client requested some of the firm's PMs to be replaced, including me.
In order to keep a clean record, I agreed with my company to give them my resignation for family reasons, with a 3 months notice period as per my contract. The resignation was given on 20 January and the last working day would be 20 April.
Last Thursday (9 Feb), my company requested an earlier termination, in order my replacement to arrive at work. I accepted their request and when I went to the head office, I was informed that they are not willing to compensate me for the rest of my notice period, until 20 April.
Since the amount is equivalent to salaries of 2 months and 10 days, I seek your legal advice on how to deal with that.
Best Regards

Filing a labor case to claim pending dues
3
Q: I completed my two-year contract in a construction company.
I'd like to change the company because my current company is not paying salaries for the last 5 months and does not allow for a vacation. I got another job and I informed my current employer about that.
The next day they renewed my visa and said to continue here and promised that on July 1st I can go for a vacation and the pending salaries will be paid before that.
But still, they didn't send me and tell me next week. I am waiting for the vacation for the last 2 months. The main thing is that my father is sick in India and I informed them also but still they are doing this.
Two days ago I went to the office to see my manager and ask for my passport and I said I want to continue. He said that we will decide once you come back and promised within two days.
1) If they failed to keep the promise, what action can I take against them? I don't like to continue here anymore.
2) I am worried that if they send me on a vacation, they will cancel my visa. What can I do from India?

How can an employee get his dues upon resignation?

1
Q: Hi! Good Day!
I hope everyone is well.
I just want to ask something about my situation here in Bahrain.
I finished my 2 years' contract here last April 15, 2021. The company where I used to work asked me whether I want to renew my contract, I said yes, but I want to take my 2 months vacation. We had an agreement only verbally, no letters or anything, just verbal agreement.
So they renew my visa and I wait for my ticket. But 1 month later, there was no vacation. I waited again, but there is no ticket.
So I decided to resign for the 2nd time. My resignation letter is dated September 15, 2021, in which my last day of work is October 16. I waited for my ticket.
I stopped working now but I'm still here in Bahrain. Also, they made a new contract but I didn't sign it.
Is there anything I can do so I can go back to my country and also get indemnity?

My employer refused to give me my full indemnity for six year of service. What can I do?

1
Q: Hello,
It’s been a month since I left my company in Bahrain. I worked for more than 6 years.
My employer refused to give me my indemnity in full and only gave me a very little amount as advanced.
When I checked with the accountant, he keep telling me that company doesn’t have money.
My ex-colleague who filed a case against him regarding indemnity told me that he got his money after 1 year and 6 months.
I feel frustrated, helpless, and threatened that I will fall into the same scenario.
Could you give me advice, please?

Kindly let me know as my visa is canceled and there are only 10 days to leave Bahrain. what is the procedure to file a lawsuit for the same?
Can it be done from my country locally or do I have to be physically present in Bahrain??

What to do to defend a cheque bounce case 0
Hi,
My father is in prison after a cheque bounce case of 1.2 million Bahraini Dinars.
The only reason he was unable to pay this amount of money was due to a reduction in business due to the financial crisis going on.
His case is now being dealt with in the criminal court. In what way can we get him out and clear this mess? And can we apply for bankruptcy now?

limitation period for labor claims in Bahrain 0
Hi there!
What action should I take if my previous employer hasn't settled my final settlement plus my pending salaries prior to my resignation?
When I follow up, they would say that they don't have anything to give. It has already been more than a year since I left the company?
Is there any hope that I could still obtain my dues?
