Please note that in your friend's case, we will need to undertake an inspection of Immigration record to understand if she is banned or not.

I will need her passport and visa copy (if available) to check her current status in the UAE.

Just because the SIM was registered in your name will not affect your position, just make sure you clear all liabilities on the SIM and you will be fine.
