Consequences of a deportation order in the UAE
Hello Madam,
My name is M., I was employed in Dubai at one of the construction companies from 2006 to 2008.
The days of the recession were hitting Dubai and companies not increasing salaries, due to that, labours made a strike and the company complained to the local authorities.
So the authorities kept us in jail for 4 days and deported us from jail to India with taking our eye scan in the jail (we received our full settlement in the jail in front of authorities).
I want to know, do I have a travel ban in the UAE? Can I enter the UAE through a visit visa? Can I get a work permit in the UAE?

Dear M.,
Article 28 of the Immigration Law states: "An alien who has been deported may not return to the country except with special permission from the Ministry of Interior".
Generally, once an individual is deported from the UAE he shall not be allowed to re-enter the UAE.
Therefore, your chances of travelling back to the UAE look minimal as the authorities have conducted the iris (eye scan) test on you. This implicates that you are blacklisted in the UAE.
You may try your luck by filing a mercy petition through the Ministry of Interior website or you can appoint a lawyer to submit the petition on their behalf.
In Dubai, there is a committee whose sole purpose is to deal with appeal applications submitted by deportees.
The committee members study each case and give a decision on whether to cancel the deportation or not.
Hope the above the explanation is satisfactory. Please feel free to contact if you need any further information, assistance or guidance in this matter.
Thank you.
