Q: Hello.
I have been working for one company a year and a half. Yesterday, I was told that due to redundancy they don't require my services.
The letter they gave me is extremely controversial- stating that my contract is terminated with immediate effect, and on the other side, I am asked to serve a one-month contractual notice.
So my question is, is that legal? Am I entitled for more than one salary due to redundancy? Do I have to work for the notice since its immediate termination?
Thank you

Claiming benefits for termination without a valid reason

Q: I am working in the HR department in one of the private companies for the last 12 years. Last week I received a redundancy letter from the HR manager terminating me for reducing people.
However, the actual reason is something else. I have sent an email to our company helpline on the HR manager and complained about him, and he came to know that I have sent an email to the senior manager.
It was only me who got this letter from the HR department. Now, they got a replacement for my position.
Can I file a complaint against the company in the labour court?
Please advise.

What to do if the employer is reducing the end of services benefits
2
Q: Hi,
My company terminated my contract on 5-01-2021 with a termination letter effective the same day. I was forced to sign that letter and leave the premises.
Therefore, they were breaching the contract as the contract stipulates that 30 days notice should be given.
I started working for them in 07-11-2019, due to coronavirus I accepted unpaid leave for 15 days in May, 15 days in October and a whole month in December 2020.
I filed a complaint and they sent me emails telling me to accept AED 10,637.07 as a total of what they owe me. Today, they want to add AED 7000 to this total but the issue is that it is not even close to what they really owe me.
End of service, annual leave (0 paid leave so I should receive the full amount), notice period salary (full amount), air ticket and compensation (1 to 3 months negotiable as per the UAE law).
I would like to know what should be done if they still don't comply with the UAE law.
Thank you in advance

Rights of the employee when the employer terminates the limited contract
2
Q: Hi all,
I worked for a semi-government company for 4 months (I passed the 3-month probation period successfully with outstanding exceptional performance).
However, after completing the 4th month, the employer terminated my contract immediately with no reason related to work or performance. My contract is a limited 3-year contract.
Now the employer is asking me to return the school allowance which has been paid to me and he is not willing to pay me any compensation for breaking the limited contract or for the arbitrary termination.
Could you please advise me on what to do in such a case and what can be claimed here?
Your support is highly appreciated
Thank you.

I need to hire a property lawyer.
I have purchased a property that is still under construction. The handover was supposed to be May 2018 and it has been delayed for over 18 months.
Can you please advise what is the average fee to the lawyer and any upcoming fees?
I would like to either receive compensation for the delay or terminate the SPA and receive what I have paid.
Thanks

Is it possible to request a mutual termination of the contract from the employer?
My employer recently asked me to submit a resignation. Since it's not legal for him to do this and since I don't mind leaving the company for better opportunities, is it legal for me to request a mutual termination of contract letter?
What are the important things that should be stated in the letter?
