Questions & Answers
How can I obtain the final court order requested by my insurer for my accident case?
Hi,
My vehicle was involved in an accident, during which another car collided with mine. The occupants of the other vehicle sustained severe injuries and were hospitalized.
The police provided me with a report to submit to my insurance company; however, the insurer has requested a final court order.
As I am not aware of the status of this court order, could you please advise me on how to obtain this information and whom I should contact regarding the matter?
Dear Questioner,
Thank you for reaching out regarding your vehicle accident and insurance claim!
To obtain information about the final court order, you can follow these steps:
- Contact the Traffic or Criminal Investigation Department.
- Provide them with the police report number to check the case status and whether a court hearing has concluded.
- Check with the Court.
- Identify the court handling the case (usually the Traffic Court or the Court of First Instance, depending on the nature of the injuries).
- Submit a request to the court clerk or registry for the case status and issuance of the final judgment/order.
Through a Lawyer:
You may also engage us as your lawyer to follow up directly with the court or Public Prosecution to obtain a certified copy of the final court order. This ensures accuracy and saves time.
Once we obtain the final order, we can submit it to your insurance company to proceed with the claim.
If you like, we can assist you in checking the court status and obtaining the final order on your behalf.

Hello,
In the UAE, after a traffic accident involving injuries, the matter is usually referred to the Public Prosecution and then to the traffic court. The “final court order” your insurer is requesting is typically issued by the traffic court once the case is decided.
You can visit or contact the traffic prosecution or traffic court in the emirate where the accident occurred to check the case status and request a copy of the final judgment. If you prefer, we can assist you with obtaining this information on your behalf.

To obtain the final court order requested by your insurance company, contact the police department that issued the accident report or the competent judicial authority (such as a court or tribunal with jurisdiction over this type of case) and ask them to guide you through the process of obtaining the court order.
You may need to file a lawsuit if one has not already been filed. Or pursue existing legal proceedings if filed.
Dear Inquirer,
In such cases, the insurance company usually requires the final judgment from the traffic court to process the claim. You may obtain this through the traffic police department or by following up with the relevant court handling the case.
As procedures can vary depending on the accident details and jurisdiction, we recommend booking a consultation with us so we can guide you step by step or represent you directly to expedite the process.

The injured people must follow up with the insurance company, not you. They are the affected ones, and the insurance company is responsible for compensating them. You have nothing to do with it.
You’ve raised a very important point. In Dubai, whenever a traffic accident results in severe injuries, the police typically refer the case to the Public Prosecution, which then forwards it to the Traffic Court for a ruling.
The insurance company requires the final court order because it establishes liability and determines compensation.
To check the status of your court order, you may:
Follow up with the Traffic Prosecution office, where your file would have been transferred after the police report.
If the case has already gone to court, you can approach the Traffic Court registry with your police case number to request the current status and obtain a copy of the judgment once it is issued.
In some cases, your lawyer can directly liaise with the prosecution and court clerks to fast-track access to the judgment.
I can assist you by making the necessary follow-ups with the police, prosecution, and traffic court to secure the final order, and also guide you in submitting the same to your insurer so your claim is processed without delay.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly on WhatsApp or phone at [------------] so we can discuss your case in detail and take immediate action.
Dear questioner,
Given the serious nature of the accident and the injuries sustained by the other occupants, the case is likely being handled by the public prosecution and the courts.
In the context of a serious car accident, a "final court order" is the official judgment or verdict issued by a court after legal proceedings.
This is not the same as the initial police report. Since the case involves injuries, it has likely been escalated from the police to the public prosecution and then the court.
If you need our assistance in checking the status and then obtaining the judgment, kindly share your WhatsApp number.

Your case involves the intersection of traffic accident liability, insurance procedure, and court orders.
We successfully represented a client in an almost identical situation, where the insurer refused to release compensation until a final criminal court judgment was obtained.
The court confirmed that the insurance company was entitled to wait for the judgment fixing liability before settling claims.
There are several legal steps you can take.
First, understand that in accidents with injuries, the police file is automatically referred to the Public Prosecution, and then to the Criminal Court, which issues the final order confirming responsibility.
Second, you may approach the Public Prosecution office handling your file and request the case number to track progress.
Third, once judgment is issued, you can obtain an attested copy of the court order through the criminal court clerk’s office.
The most strategic approach is to directly follow up with the Public Prosecution in the emirate where the accident occurred, as they can confirm whether the file is still under investigation, pending trial, or if judgment has already been issued. With that confirmation, your insurance claim can move forward smoothly.
To guide you more precisely, we would need to know where the accident happened, as each emirate (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, etc.) has its own traffic prosecution department.
Our multilingual consultants in Arabic, English, Russian, Hindi, and Chinese can assist you with the necessary applications and follow-ups.
