Q: Hello. I had a rental dispute with my tenant and everything was in my favour. I put a travel ban and blocked her RTA and bank account. But I got to know from Dubai police that she fled the country 1 day before the travel ban was imposed. Can there be anything done?

Property Management fined me wrongfully for subleasing. How can I cancel the fine?
Q: Property Management fined me for subleasing. I am a tenant of [----] and one day, a member of an inspection team visited my apartment, my friend was there and they accused me of giving the apartment on sublease. They took a picture of both our Emirates IDs and fined us AED 8,020 for subleasing the unit. My friend is living in company-provided accommodation and I have provided a letter from her company for the same but [----] is not accepting it and forcing me to pay the fine. Kindly advise, what can I do in such a case? Thanks

Q: The monthly contribution of the insured is 26 percent of the pensionable salary. The insured employee pays 11 percent and the employer pays 15 percent. For insured citizens working in the private sector, the government pays 2.5 percent on behalf of the employer, if they receive pensionable salaries less than AED 20,000. This initiative by the government is aimed at promoting the employment of UAE citizens in the private sector. Q: I seek your legal advice regarding a dispute with a company over deceptive practices and breaches of commitments. I was invited to collect complimentary gifts (movie voucher, hotel stay, dhow cruise, smartwatch) after attending a 30-minute session. During the session, Mr. [---] offered an Umrah package, including visas, 4-star stays with breakfast, and transfers for my family, plus 3-star stays for five relatives. Under pressure, I paid AED 9,000. However, the written agreement differed from the oral promises. When questioned, Mr. [----] assured me of an email reflecting the verbal commitments, but it matched the written terms. Upon follow-up, Mr. [----] denied the commitments, and the manager dismissed the issue. I reluctantly proceeded with the services but was later informed only a 6-night facility could be availed annually. I feel misled and overcharged for services not delivered as promised. I invested money in a business but my partner is removing me out from partnership. Can I pursue legal action?
Q: Hi I`m an Irish citizen and a resident of the United Kingdom. I got investment fraud in Dubai. I invested money into a business with a Pakistani national guy in March 2024 via bank transfer into his business account. Now he`s giving back the money which I invested in business after 9 months. He`s preparing a letter from a local lawyer to kick me out of the business. I do not have any other option than to take out at least my money. But it`s unfair to me that he used my money in business and took all the advantage. Some people say to me that if you claim money or take legal action against him, it will take too much time and I need to travel to Dubai to appear in court because it is a civil matter. But I`m not a resident. How can I follow the civil case there? That`s why my partner knows that I can not do anything and this case keeps running long time and in the end nothing happens. But I`m thinking that I will submit a complaint through my embassy and I also have a solicitor in the United Kingdom.

Q: Hello, We have been scammed by an individual who did not provide the stated service. They took a lot of money and important documents. I have audio recordings of him talking about these things. We had a bad lawyer in Iraq who stole property by forging documents. This man said he had many connections to help us. While it was true that he had connections, he didn’t actually help us. Instead, he cooperated with the bad lawyer, agreed with him, and gave the bad lawyer all our important documents.
