Will court clearance remove an immigration block so I can work again?
Hi Sir, Good Day!
I went personally yesterday to Sweihan Immigration together with the PRO of our Embassy.
We spoke to the police officer there, and when they checked in the system, the officer mentioned there is no absconding case, and they saw that I went through jail. I said yes, I was in jail for 2 months.
They advised the PRO to get clearance from Enjaz to submit to them in order to remove the BLOCKED status in immigration. They said they blocked my account in immigration.
Was it because I was in jail that they blocked me in immigration? How long will it take to get clearance? Will it be approved since I served the sentence?
And once the clearance is issued by the court, will my block in immigration be removed? And will I be able to process and apply for a new working permit/employment visa?

Hello,
I hope you are doing well!
Based on your explanation, it seems the immigration block was due to your time in jail. Once you receive the clearance from Enjaz, the block should be lifted, allowing you to apply for a new work permit or employment visa.
The clearance process may take a few weeks, depending on the court’s processing time. After the clearance is issued, your immigration block should be removed. We can assist you in following up on the process.

Dear Sir,
Good day!
Based on the information provided, it seems that the immigration block is related to your previous detention, and the immigration system has flagged your account as a result.
The police officer mentioned that clearance from Enjaz is needed to remove the block, which is typically required after serving a sentence.
Timeline for clearance:
The clearance process can vary depending on the specific case, but once the court issues the clearance, it should facilitate the removal of the immigration block. After that, you can apply for a new work permit or employment visa.
However, to ensure everything is handled correctly and to expedite the process, we recommend scheduling a consultation with us.

Hello,
Since you’ve served your sentence, there is a good chance that the clearance will be granted as long as there are no additional legal cases or fines outstanding.
The immigration authorities will likely check whether your legal issues (e.g., jail time) have been fully resolved. If everything is cleared, they should approve the removal of the immigration block.
After receiving the clearance and the immigration authorities have verified that you have served your sentence and cleared any legal obligations, the block on your immigration record should be lifted.
The time it will take to get clearance depends on various factors. It could range from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the specific processes involved in the clearance.
Dear Questioner,
Thank you for reaching out with your questions regarding your immigration block following your time in jail!
Based on the details you’ve provided, here’s a summary of your situation and the steps you can take moving forward:
1. Why Was Your Immigration Account Blocked?
The immigration block could be related to your time in jail, but it may not necessarily be automatic or a direct result of your incarceration.
Often, immigration blocks are placed due to legal cases, violations, or unsettled issues with authorities, which can sometimes extend beyond the completion of a sentence.
Since you mentioned that the police officer confirmed there’s no absconding case against you, it’s likely that the block is related to another legal issue or an administrative matter tied to your past legal status.
2. Procedure to Remove the Immigration Block:
According to the information you received, the PRO of your Embassy is advised to obtain clearance from Enjaz. This is a common procedure for individuals who have completed their sentences and need to clear their name from immigration systems.
- Clearance Process:
The clearance process will involve obtaining confirmation from the authorities that you have fulfilled any legal obligations, including serving your sentence. Once this clearance is obtained, the immigration block should be lifted.
3. How Long Will It Take to Get Clearance?
The time it takes to get clearance varies depending on the nature of the case and the specific immigration or legal procedures involved. Typically, obtaining clearance from the relevant authorities (such as Enjaz) can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks.
After clearance is issued, you should be able to proceed with the next steps to lift the block in immigration.
4. Will the Clearance Be Approved?
Since you’ve already served your sentence, and assuming there are no other outstanding legal issues or violations, it’s likely that the clearance will be approved. However, this will depend on the final decision from the relevant authorities and the legal documentation you provide.
5. Will the Block Be Removed and Can You Apply for a New Visa?
Once the clearance certificate is issued and your case is resolved, the immigration block should be removed. This will enable you to apply for a new employment visa or work permit, provided there are no other legal constraints preventing you from obtaining a new visa.
It's also important to ensure that there are no outstanding fines or legal issues before you proceed with applying for a new visa.
6. Next Steps:
Ensure that the PRO submits the clearance request to Enjaz and follow up with the embassy to expedite the process.
Once clearance is issued, the immigration authorities will remove the block from your immigration file.
After the block is lifted, you can proceed with applying for a new work permit or employment visa.
If you have any further questions or require assistance in navigating this process, please feel free to reach out.

According to UAE law, if an immigration block was placed due to a legal case or a sentence served, the block can be lifted after completing the necessary legal procedures, such as obtaining a clearance certificate from the court or relevant authorities.
Once the clearance is issued, the block can be removed, allowing you to apply for a new work permit or employment visa.
