Can a company fire me falsely claiming platform closure and withhold payments unfairly?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I joined a well-known and reputable company in June as an e-commerce sales executive. After three months, they fired me, citing the reason in my termination letter that they are closing their online platform. This claim is absolutely false, as the platform is still operational in the UAE. It feels completely unjust despite my hard work and proven sales record, once their platform was established, they simply terminated me. After my termination, they gave me an additional 30 days to find another job, stating they would not cancel my visa during this time, apart from the standard 14-day notice period. I recently spoke to a friend who was also terminated under similar circumstances. The company refused to pay him for no valid reason and deducted money from his dues as fines or penalties.

I submitted an offer and deposit file to the RDC for rental increase but no response from landlord. What to do?
Q: Dear lawyers I submitted a file to the Dubai Land Department (RDC) through a trustee center regarding the rental increase by the landlord. I submitted the documents as per the trustee officer. Now I record the email that ‘the offer and deposit request has been rejected by the system as there has been no response from the respondent for 5 days. What do I do next? Q: Good day, everyone! I am in the final stage of my bounced cheque case. The person who owes me has submitted a very unreasonable and unjust payment settlement proposal within 30 months, which I will, of course, reject. The decision states: "نصرح وفق الإجراءات المتبعة". Translation: "We declare in accordance with established procedures." The case status shows as "RESERVED". Can someone elaborate on this?

Q: Hello, I renewed my tenancy contract in Dubai but Ejari is yet to be renewed. I want to early terminate the contract. The notice period is not mentioned in the contract but the addendum has a clause of 2 months penalty without mentioning any notice period. What does the RERA Law stipulate regarding tenant notice period? Can I avoid the 2-month penalty if I give a notice period as per RERA Law? Thank you+1

Can the supplier refuse to pay the VAT on a referral fee invoice and ask me to bear it?
Q: Last year I set up a Dubai mainland sole proprietorship company dedicated to interior design. One of the material suppliers I have specified (tiles) for a project agreed to pay me a referral fee of 10% of the end client order. Now I have invoiced them that 10% + VAT, however, they don`t want to pay the VAT. They suggest I deduct it from my own 10% if I am keen to produce a tax invoice featuring VAT. Is this request legal?

Can I upgrade and gift an apartment to my husband after evicting a tenant?
Q: Hello, I purchased a property last year that was already rented. I then issued the tenant an official notarized eviction notice of one year. The tenant has now vacated the apartment. I signed an MOU to purchase a property and paid the amount but the seller didn't provide NOC. What to do?
Q: I decided to purchase a penthouse in Abu Dhabi. I signed an MOU with the seller through a broker. The seller had a mortgage obligation with the bank. The mortgage amount was slightly higher than the transaction amount. According to the terms of the MOU, I paid off the seller’s mortgage to the bank, covering the purchase amount, while the seller paid the remaining balance. Sometime after my payment, the broker sent me a Mortgage Release document confirming that the penthouse no longer had any encumbrances. Next, the seller was supposed to obtain the NOC, after which we would go to the municipality to transfer the title. However, the seller has not obtained the NOC! According to the broker, the seller is disputing the amount assigned to him for payment by the management company and seemingly intends to sue the company. It has already been three months since my payment! The broker says that the seller is willing to sign a court document that would ensure my guarantees. Is this true?

In a Partnership Business (civil company not LLC) of Partner A-50%, PartnerB-25%, and PartnerC-25% can Partner A who is the Managing Director of the Company authorize only one partner (eg: Partner C) as the sole Bank Signatory without the consent of Partner B? 2.
