I bought a property off-plan and took me time to pay the 4% DLD. Can the developer cancel the contract?
Q: I have bought a property in Dubai off-plan. The villa was completed at the end of Jan (1.5 months ago). I haven`t had the funds to register the property with DLD until now, mid-March. Until now, I have paid the 20% deposit to the builder and taking 80% on mortgage. The mortgage with the bank is now ready with the manager`s cheque and sent to the DLD office ready for registration. As it has taken some time for me to arrange the 4% DLD, the builder is now telling me he is going to cancel the contract or charge me an additional amount as the market price has gone up. Q: Hello, Can anyone confirm to me if getting married in the UAE as part of a civil marriage is recognized/can be registered in India? I am an Australian citizen, marrying an Indian citizen (both with UAE residency). I would rather marry in a civil court in the UAE but understand this may not be valid in India. Can I start a new company aside my failing partnership business without being sued for competition?
Q: I currently have a company in the UAE with my partner. My partner hasn`t been working or contributing to the company for the past year and is very difficult to deal with. I`m no longer able to work with him - my option is to start another similar company on the side, as dissolving the existing company or selling/buying each other`s shares doesn`t seem viable. Am I able to start another company in the same line of business on the side, without any risk of a civil case?
