Staff do not receive salaries for months. What should be done?
Good day,
Please help us!
We are 10 staff members complaining that we have not received our salaries for almost 4 months, as of March.
Additionally, we do not have any insurance since joining this company in July 2023, although we possess our visas and Emirates IDs.
Dear Questioner,
You need to move quickly to register a labor complaint with the Ministry of Labor to reach an amicable settlement of the problem if possible.
Otherwise, the dispute will be referred to the court, especially if the claims are expected to be more than 50 thousand dirhams, but if they are less, the ministry will adjudicate the dispute directly.

Dear questioner,
Please raise a collective labor dispute in MOHRE for pending salaries.
Along with the same request, you should also mention the denial of insurance, which is the employer's obligation to provide for workers in the UAE.

Hi,
According to UAE labor law, it is the responsibility of the employer to pay their employees' salaries on time, at least once a month.
Failure to do so is considered a violation of labor laws and can result in penalties for the employer. In your case, it is important to first try to resolve the issue with your employer directly.
You can request a meeting with your employer to discuss the delay in salary payments and ask for a clear explanation and timeline for when you can expect to receive your salaries.
If your employer fails to provide a satisfactory response or continues to delay salary payments, you can file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE).
You can do this online through the MOHRE website or by visiting one of their offices. It is also important to note that as per UAE labor law, employers are required to provide health insurance for their employees.
If your employer has not provided you with health insurance, you can also raise this issue with the MOHRE.
