Q: Hi, Earlier, I applied for the execution of a labour case, and the court sent notices for bank accounts and asset attachment, but no records were found in the accounts and assets as the company is closed. One week ago, the court issued an arrest warrant for the owner of the company, but no update has come since then.

Am I required to replace an old fridge owned by the landlord if it can't be repaired?
Q: Hello, My rental here in Dubai comes with a fridge and cooker. I believe these to be at least 10 years old. The fridge has now stopped working and requires a part to be replaced. This comes at a cost of 540 AED, which is over the agreed amount that I am responsible for. My Ejari comes with an extra addendum provided by the landlord, which states: 1. The landlord is responsible for major maintenance of the apartment (namely structural, electrical, and plumbing) exceeding 500 AED + 5% VAT. The tenant is responsible for any minor maintenance as needed as a result of wear and tear. 2. The property is leased with the following assets (fridge and cooker) owned by the landlord in working condition and should be returned in the same condition. Any maintenance required is the tenant’s responsibility. My question is: If I`m unable to fix this fridge, do I have to provide a new one? The company looking to repair the fridge is having an issue finding the part needed, as it is old.

Q: Hi Sir, I am S. and I am facing a one-year labour ban (as per my knowledge, and the same is mentioned in the cancellation paper too). Q: Hello, I have a friend who has an agency that promised me a partner`s visa. She told me the payment would be 7800 AED full package, then I paid over half, 4900 AED, last October 2024. How can I claim my settlement if the company is inactive but some branches still operate?

Can the school refuse to issue NOC to me after they terminated my employment contract?
Q: I am writing to raise a concern regarding the denial of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by [----] School, Abu Dhabi, where I am currently employed as a Humanities Teacher. Although the school has officially discontinued my contract effective July 7, 2025, and I have not submitted a resignation, they are now refusing to issue an NOC. This is preventing me from accepting an opportunity with another charter school and is obstructing my right to secure alternate employment within the sector. As per my understanding from ADEK and MoHRE guidelines, an NOC cannot be denied when: - There is no non-compete clause in the contract. - The employee has not breached any contractual obligations, and - The termination was employer-initiated without a valid cause.
