I have a case and travel ban in public prosecution after I ran over a person's foot. How long does it take?
Q: Hi, I want to inquire about a police case. In October 2024, I was involved in a minor accident while reversing my car out of a parking space, during which I accidentally ran over a person`s foot. The individual later withdrew the case at the police station, and the case report was subsequently forwarded to the Dubai Public Prosecution. It has been over two weeks since I last visited the Public Prosecution (I have visited three times), yet the case number has not been issued. Could you kindly advise on how long it typically takes for the court to issue a verdict in such cases so that my travel ban can be lifted? I was evicted from my apartment to be sold but it was gifted and rented at a higher price. What can I do?
Q: I was evicted from my apartment after living there for five years. My landlord informed me a year in advance that the lease would not be renewed because he intended to sell the property. Prior to this, he attempted to impose a rent increase that was not compliant with RERA regulations, which I refused to accept. He then served me with an official Dubai Court eviction notice, citing the need to take back the property for sale. Five months after I moved out, I discovered the property was rented out at a much higher price. Upon further investigation, I found that the ownership was transferred as a "Gift" rather than a sale. This makes it seem like the eviction was only to raise the rent rather than a genuine need to sell. Do I have a valid case for wrongful eviction against my landlord? Also, under Dubai law, does transferring ownership as a "Gift" hold the same legal grounds as selling in justifying eviction?+7

The lawyer I hired to handle the case did not pay attention to what I told him, causing me to lose the case. Can I refuse to leave the apartment after the eviction notice if the landlord shows no intention to sell?
Q: I am reposting the question as maybe I was not clear the first time. I am a tenant in an apartment in Dubai. I stayed in the apartment for a long time. I received a valid 12-month notice from the landlord to vacate the property because they want to sell it. However, 9 months have passed since and the landlord has shown no intention of selling. I asked them about it and they said they intend to renovate it first before selling it. As I do not want to move out, can I dispute this at the RDC in any way? Should I pay 3 months' salary if I leave my job without notice to care for my newborn?
Q: Dear Lawyers, I am leaving my job without a notice period because I have had a baby, and I am unable to leave him by himself at home. My contract states: Except as provided in clause 11.1, either you or the Company may terminate your employment at any time by giving three (3) months` prior written notice, or payment in lieu of notice, to the other party. (Any period of leave, including school holidays, cannot be counted towards the notice period.) Does this mean I need to pay my employer three months` salary, or is it not clearly stated enough, so I don`t have to pay it back?+1

Do I have to pay my company after resignation for a training that never happened?
Q: Hi Sir, I would like to ask a question. In my contract, there is an additional addendum stating that I have to pay up to 5000 AED for the training in case I terminate my contract within 1 year. Now the question is, I`m already 6 months in service. Do I have to pay that even though the company did not provide any training for me? Suing a salon for damages after a pedicure resulted in severe injury and distress
Q: Hello, I am wondering how I can sue or report a ladies` salon in Abu Dhabi for physical and emotional distress after a pedicure led to urgent care for a severe infection. I was prescribed antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, painkillers, and given an injection in my buttocks. I am now on crutches and unable to walk. A week after the pedicure, I underwent surgery to have my nail and skin surgically removed as a result. I spoke with the salon the day after my appointment when my foot swelled up and I went to the hospital. The technician refused to let me speak to the owner and begged me not to report her. I am extremely distressed and fed up, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I have all my medical records, proof of payment to the salon, and WhatsApp messages between myself and the salon discussing my toe. What legal grounds do I have to sue the salon for damages?
