Do I have to pay my company after resignation for a training that never happened?
Hi Sir,
I would like to ask a question.
In my contract, there is an additional addendum stating that I have to pay up to 5000 AED for the training in case I terminate my contract within 1 year.
Now the question is, I'm already 6 months in service. Do I have to pay that even though the company did not provide any training for me?
I'm confused because it is stated you will have to pay because of the training but the company did not provide the training. Will I pay or not?
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
If no training was provided, you may challenge the clause requiring you to pay the training fee.
The clause is likely unenforceable if the company does not fulfill its obligation to train you.
It's recommended to consult a lawyer to assess whether the fee can be legally enforced.

Dear questioner
If you have evidence that the company has not provided any training, then you can leave the company.
And even if they file a complaint, you can submit this evidence.
