How to resolve a dispute over a UAE document attestation suspected to be fake?
Q: Dear Lawyers, So, my brother is joining a new company, and they asked him to get the documents attested. He got the documents attested by an agency in Pakistan, but when he submitted them to UAE MOFA, they said the UAE stamp was fake. However, we called the UAE consulate in Pakistan, and they confirmed that the document did come to them, they have attested it, and have the details in their system. The UAE MOFA told him he will have a hearing in three working days. Is it just a suspicion that`s why they said it will go for lab testing, as the UAE consulate confirmed the stamp is from them via phone? What should we do?2024/08/08

Protecting doctors from being recorded by patients' relatives without permission
Q: Good morning, I`m a doctor working in a clinic in Dubai. Lately, I`ve been facing the same issue with patients and their relatives. They take out a camera (relatives) and start recording videos of me when I`m checking or explaining to the patient, or sometimes they call someone and keep the line open (not even on speaker) so the relative can listen to what I explain to the patient. In those moments, when I realize what they`re doing, I immediately stop them and ask them to delete/remove it, etc. Some patients act offended even when I tell them they shouldn`t do this, they can`t. Is there any law that protects doctors, or in this case, myself from these kinds of actions? Thanks!+1

How is Article 322 of UAE Civil Procedure Law interpreted?
Q: Dear Lawyers, Conditions for placing the manager of a debtor company in jail. Article 322 of UAE Civil Procedure law states as follows: "If the debtor is a private legal entity, the order shall be issued for the imprisonment of who represents the company legally or any other person if the refusal from execution is attributed to them personally." Does "the refusal from execution is attributed to them personally" apply only to "any other person" or also applies to "who represents the company legally"? If I ask for the detention of the manager or partner of a company, have I to prove that the manager/partner is refusing to execute the writ? This is a general question regarding the interpretation of the law. It is not linked to my cases or documents.
