Q: Hello, Is it possible to negotiate with the bank to consolidate my loan and credit cards balance when I`m outside the UAE? I have already resigned and relocated to another country. I`ve left a remaining loan balance of AED 170k + 2 credit cards balance (10K + 34K). My gratuity (33k) is being held by the bank and I missed this month`s loan payment. I don`t want to incur more interest by paying only the minimum on the 2 cards and wanted to negotiate with the bank to consolidate all debts into a single monthly payment. What to do against a claim from Etisalat for bills despite failing service?
Q: Dears I took a wireless account from Etisalat and they were not giving the service properly so I asked them on 3rd day they told me to do troubleshooting by application but still it was the same. Then I contacted them to cancel the account on the 5th day but they said I need to get a technical complaint number which I was not getting from them. So I called the salesperson and he came to my home and changed it with the landline and told me that he will cancel the wireless account in 3 months. After 5 months, Etisalat came back to me and asked for payments and told me that if I do not pay, they will block all my other connections even though I didn’t receive any invoice or reminder from Etisalat. Now the legal team of Etisalat sent me the below email: • Negative impact on your credit score with the Al Etihad Credit Bureau of UAE limiting your access to credit facilities with banks and financial institutions. • Limited opportunities in setting up a business in the UAE. • Limited job opportunities. Q: Hi, I have been provided with a 90-day notice regarding my renewal but the amount was not mentioned (told over the phone that it will be 1000 more than the previous year). Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My motorcycle was taken to a motorcycle workshop for repairs due to a coolant leak. After examining the bike, they provided me with a quote and later informed me that the oil and water had mixed, necessitating an engine flush. Although hesitant, I trusted their expertise and paid an initial fee of 5900 AED. Unfortunately, it has been two months since the deposit was paid, and the repairs are still unfinished. When I recently followed up with them, they informed me that the bike lacked compression and power and needed new piston parts. This seems implausible since the engine was running smoothly before the rebuild. It appears that the mechanic did not properly assemble the engine initially, and now they want to charge me an additional 10000 AED to fix their mistake. They continue to increase the cost and make excuses for the delay, even though it should not take three months to rebuild an engine. What are my options?
