What can I do if the developer canceled my unit and did not refund my deposit?
Q: Hi, I paid a 24% deposit and 4% DLD and my SPA was voided the next day after I signed the SPA. After many emails and telephone calls to the developer, I was told that due to some issues with the booking, they could not proceed with the unit I booked. They were offering an alternative unit about 20 floors lower or a bigger unit at a higher price. Both alternatives were not acceptable. The developer then said that they would cancel and refund the money. I was waiting for their email to confirm this and was wondering what I could do if the developer did not return all the money. Denying labor dues upon resignation and demanding visa charges
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My employer signed an offer letter from a different company, adding a clause stating that if the employee resigns, he needs to give one month`s notice and refund AED 5000 as visa charges. However, I have already signed a contract from another company and received my EID, with no such clause mentioned. Now that I resign by giving one month`s notice, my employer has not paid any salary or benefits even after completing one year and three months. Additionally, they are demanding AED 5000. After 10 months with my company, can I access leave and ticket fare?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I am an employee in a private firm, and I have completed 10 months. However, my company was taken over by another company. My company provides ticket fare at the month of the joining date. I have over 20 leaves. But my old company says that I can`t take my leave; if I take it, it will be paid, and I`m not eligible for ticket fare because I have not completed one year. Q: Hello, I need your help with advice. I own a property and recently signed a contract with a new tenant who is supposed to move by March 1st. But I haven’t received the deposit or first payment and when I asked about the payment, he said that he is out of the country till mid of March and will check how to sort this issue. Will the contract be void if he didn’t pay the deposit yet? Once I signed it, I had to go through the rental dispute center against him even though our contract hadn’t even started yet. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I resigned from my company during my probation period. However, they rejected my resignation, asked for compensation for visa fees, and did not release my salary. That’s why I filed a complaint to MOHRE. However, they also filed a complaint against me claiming 6000 AED. My complaint to MOHRE is still under process and I am still waiting for an update from them. I need to return home to my country; however, what`s confusing me is whether I am allowed to leave and go back without any issues at the immigration. Q: There is a company in UAE dealing in assured monthly returns, and fixed interest. They format a proper contract and give security cheques for principal and interest amounts. My contract is finished and I am asking for the principal maturity amount. The company is giving new dates every time and not releasing the maturity amount. Should I deposit the security cheque? The agent has insisted that the tenant will vacate the property in two months; however, the current owner has not served any notice to the tenant. Is there an agreement we can ask the tenant to sign before we agree to buy the property, such as an undertaking in front of a magistrate? I got a judgment against a cryptocurrency company that failed pay me and closed. What to do?
Q: I give an investment to a Pakistani individual for trading opportunities in cryptocurrency. He gave me three cheques as security against my investment. He used to give me profits every month. After 4 months, he failed to give me a profit by saying all investments were liquidated and lost. I opened a cheque execution case against him and all three cheques (100k + 12k + 29K AED) got bounced due to insufficient funds. During this stage, the person managed to leave UAE and flee to his home country ( Pakistan). It is more than 4 months after my execution case yet I didn`t receive any money from the court.
