What to do if my job description on the visa is housemaid and I work as personal assistant?
I worked here in the UAE for 5 months and I have my visa as a housemaid but my work is not a housemaid. I'm a personal assistant.
Prior to my work, I did not sign any job offer or any contract until now.
If I resign from my work, is there a violation I will make or is there any monetary compensation that I need to pay to my employer?
Dear Client
Regarding your employment as a personal assistant despite your visa designation as a housemaid, without a signed employment contract, potential violations and consequences upon resignation are unclear.
Please tell your employer to Address this promptly to ensure compliance with UAE labor laws.

Abdul Wahied
It is better to write an employment contract to preserve rights between the two parties. You must notify your employer that you wish to leave the job.
In case of any dispute, file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Dear Questioner
If the visa comes under the category of domestic workers, generally contract expiry period will be calculated according to visa expiry.
If you are in probation period there you are not obligated to provide any cost. However, check with your employer for the contract.
