Do I have to compensate my employer if I resign during probation and what is the notice period?
Q: Greetings! Can I terminate my contract during my probation period? As it`s written in my contract that 3 months notice period is required for both parties when terminating the contract. Also, it`s written that I need to pay AED 6000 as a training fee if I would resign by my own willingness before 1 year. My question is, can I resign during my probation period with one one-month notice period and without paying the compensation fee for training (6000 AED)?

Is a resignation issued outside the UAE considered valid?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I recently informed my employer that I would be working remotely due to personal reasons and I left the UAE after informing him that I would be leaving for a few days. I was unable to resolve my personal issues and submitted my resignation remotely while outside the UAE. I sent the resignation letter by e-mail. My Employer now claims that my resignation is invalid as it was not issued in the UAE and is claiming I have committed gross misconduct. I assume this is with a view to dismissing me before I have completed my notice period. I have continued to work while I have been outside the UAE, and my employer is aware of this. I am returning to the UAE this weekend to complete my notice period. Q: Real Estate Agency without proper contract & HR system. I have been working as a certified real estate broker for a real estate agency in Dubai. The company consistently failed to provide a proper contract, and they kept hiring and firing HR managers. We sign a contract with an HR manager and the next one comes in, as a result, the company manager claims that because the contract was signed by the previous HR, it is no longer valid. The manager never signs any contract. I have been closing a few deals in the company and now I’m suspecting that they won’t pay since they can come up with another excuse.
