Q: Hello, My father is a UAE citizen and my mother is British. I live in the UK with my mother and brother, as my father absconded when we were young. He has always refused to pay towards our care and does not respond to our attempts to contact him. His name and signature are on our British birth certificates, and my mother has a nikkah marriage certificate that was obtained in the UK. Please could you advise if we have any rights in the UAE as his children? Can the landlord evict me or increase the rent by sending a two months notice for that?
Q: My landlord wants to evict me (60 days notice) because he wants to sell the property. I told him that he has to give me a 12 months notice which he sent and we received. He also wants to increase the rent above the RERA Index Calculator. I informed him that I am not willing to pay the increase above RERA calculator and also because he did not give us a 3 months notice for the increase and asking me to leave in 2 months. He does not want to renew the contract saying I did not confirm to him my intention to stay (as per contract it says 2 months notice to be given by the tentant or landlord if they want to stay or leave) and that I should leave in 2 months. I am aware that he knows we want to stay since we are discussing rent and eviciton in 12 months the landlord is using this now to evict us. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My landlord wants to evict me for "personal use of the property," but I am sure he wants to rent it out. My eviction notice came two months after my rent renewal, which means that at the end of my lease, I have to either renew my lease for two more months (which I am not sure is possible) or move out two months before the notice period ends. 1) If I choose the latter option, will I still be able to file a case against my landlord for evicting me so that he can rent out the property? 2) How much does it cost to file a case, how long does it typically take to win, and how much compensation is awarded? What should we do if our resigned employee claimed unused air tickets in court?
Q: Hi, Our resigned employee filed a labor complaint in MOHRE to claim unused air tickets amount. As it was not amicably settled, labor transferred the same to the court. But till now we didn`t get any intimation from the court as maybe the employee didn`t register the complaint. So what will be the next step taken by the company?
