الاتهام الباطل بالسرقة
س: مرحبًا اتهمني شريكي التجاري باطلًا عدة مرات بسرقة ممتلكات الشركة. تمت هذه الاتهامات عن طريق البريد الإلكتروني وعن طريق إنذار قانوني من محاميه، ولدي اثبات على جميع الاتصالات وعلى براءتي أيضًا. بالإضافة إلى أن اتهاماته لا تستند إلى أي دليل. بالفعل هناك قضية جنائية تجري الآن بيني وبينه لأنه قام بالتعدي علي منذ بضعة أسابيع. أريد أن أعرف ما الذي يمكنني فعله حتى أوقفه عن إرسال رسائل بريد إلكترونية باستمرار يتهمني فيها بالسرقة ويهددني. هل يمكن رفع قضية ضده بسبب الادعاءات الباطلة؟ شكرًا2017/06/14

What can be done if your customer is not paying your invoices? (Part II)
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I worked as a broadcast and event management consultant and ran large scale sports entertainment events for a UAE based client but my invoice for labour and material expenses remain unpaid after six months. My client claims they are restructuring and are hoping to pay me but what can I do to help recover my money? I am UK based. Any advice appreciated. Many thanks.

What can be done if your customer is not paying your invoices?
Q: My firm (based in the UK) is owed $57,500 for providing materials and event management services for a Dubai-based business called International Premier Tennis League. They have failed to pay my invoice or any of the individual skilled craftsmen and technicians I recommended they hired to deliver the events which we delivered in December 2016. What I`d like to do is recover my money and possibly make sure that the business behaviour of the IPTL management team is not repeated (it must be a crime to commit business services to a project without ever having the means to pay for it). What to do if your company forces you to submit your resignation
Q: Hello & Ramadan Kareem, I`m working in JAFZA (Jebel Ali Free Zone) as a Regional Manager on a limited contract ending in 2019. I shall be completing 1 year on 16 June 2017. My Management is pressuring me to submit my resignation (with a 30-days notice i.e. defined in their offer letter) as they say I have not delivered the annual sales targets. Since I refused, the HR Manager called & threatened me with "consequences". My JAFZA contract clearly mentions 90 days notice period. Now they say that if I resign, they can offer me 90 days compensation with no gratuity & other benefits. Could you please advise, what should I do?

Health insurance for employees with family visas
Q: Good Day, Please, could you advise if as per the current UAE regulations in Dubai, is an Employer obliged to provide a Dubai Health Authority compliant health insurance to those employees in the company, who are holding ONLY work permits (labour cards) with the Employer? كيفية إلغاء تأشيرتك لتجنب المنع من العمل في حالة هروب مالك الشركة
س: لدى وافد فلبيني تأشيرة على شركة بمسمى وظيفي " موظف مكتبي " براتب 2500 درهم إماراتي، والتي ستنتهي في شهر أغسطس. هرب مالك الشركة من دولة الإمارات، لذا سيتوجب على المحكمة أن تلغي هذه التأشيرة، وعلى ما يبدو سيكون هناك منع من العمل بصورة تلقائية لمدة سنة. أريد توظيف هذا الشخص في شركتي الخاصة في دبي. هل هناك أي طريقة لرفع هذا المنع من العمل؟2017/06/08

فترة الإخطار بعدم تجديد عقد الإيجار
س: أقيم في شقة منذ سنتين. ينتهي عقد الإيجار الخاص بي في 15 يونيو. أخبرت مالك الوحدة عبر البريد الإلكتروني قبل موعد الانتهاء بمدة شهر واحد أنني لا أرغب في مواصلة عقد الإيجار وأنني سوف أترك الشقة. الآن يقول مالك الوحدة أنه كان يتوجب عليّ أن أخبره بمدة 60 يومًا قبل انتهاء العقد، ويطالب بإيجار إضافي عن مدة 30 يومًا. هل له الحق في هذا الادعاء؟ هل أحتاج أن أدفع إيجارًا إضافيًا بعد انتهاء عقد الإيجار الخاص بي؟ برجاء إبداء النصيحة.2017/06/08

Can I refund the advance paid to the seller of a car if I withdraw my offer?
Q: I paid an advance to a seller for a used car. I was supposed to pay the rest of the money and get the car registered the next day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn`t complete the deal and called it off within 24 hours. I requested for a refund of my advance amount, but the seller says he will not do that. I also found out later that he has not told the complete truth about how he got the ownership of the car. This also partially influenced by the decision to call off of the deal. We have not signed any contract saying that my advance money will not be refunded. I want to know whether I am legally entitled to the refund of my advance?2017/06/07

What to do if your former employer owes you money
Q: Assalamu alaikum, My name is Mohammed Yaseen. My concern is that my previous employer was supposed to pay me AED 3700 of my salary which is pending for one year, and I have been asking him for 6 months. Actually, he was supposed to pay me AED 11700 after the cancellation of my contract, after cancellation he paid me AED 8000 but AED 3700 is still pending. I couldn`t do anything before the cancellation because I had to move to another company as the other company will not wait for me. So, on a mutual understanding, I cancelled the contract. He also committed as documented in my official email address that he will pay me all amount, but now he isn`t receiving my calls. I have the email, WhatsApp messages...etc as a proof.
