Can the other party in a car accident ask me for money if my insurance does not cover third-party repairs?
Q: I have fully comprehensive car insurance with agency repair and just had an accident in Dubai where it was my fault. The other car is a [-----] with a warranty and my insurance has approved their claim but won’t let them get the repairs at the agency. It turns out the agency repair on my policy is for me only not for third parties. Now the [----] warranty becomes void if they don’t go to the agency which my insurance won’t cover so the [----] owner is asking me for the money now! What do I do?

How to protect my interests after my landlord sells the property?
Q: Hi, My landlord has just sold the property. I`d like to know what needs to be done from my side to be on the safe side in the future. 1) Do they require my signature to sell the property? 2) Should I ask for the return of the upcoming cheques from the old landlord and issue new ones for the new landlord? Terminated during probation for raising concerns about manager: What now?
Q: Good morning, I was terminated during my probationary period this week. I understand there is no right of appeal during this period. However, the HR contact has told me to seek legal advice as they believe I may have a case. I submitted a confidential submission to HR raising concerns in good faith about my manager, disclosing a number of very serious issues, and was told that my identity would be protected and I would not be treated differently or victimized in any way. My identity was leaked to management, and I was removed from all accounts, moved desks, told not to meet with any colleagues, and then terminated as a result. I suppose my question is, is there a case? I should add that it is a government-owned airline, so any route would be the ruler court.

Will RDC accept a non-notarised eviction notice sent by registered post?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, Eviction notice to the tenant due to sale: According to Article 25 (2) of Law No. (33) of 2008 Amending Law No. (26) of 2007 Regulating the Relationship between Landlords and Tenants in the Emirate of Dubai: "For the purposes of paragraph (2) of this Article, the Landlord must notify the Tenant of the eviction reasons twelve (12) months prior to the date set for eviction, provided that this notice is given through a Notary Public or registered post". The Law is clear that the notice can be sent by "registered post" as an alternative to being sent through Notary Public. I called DLD, they said the Notice must be sent by registered post after it is notarised. In case of a dispute, will RDC accept a non-notarised notice sent by registered post?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have a personal loan, and I received an offer in another non-GCC country. I approached the bank, and the representative informed me that I can make payments from outside, and the bank will initiate legal action only if two consecutive months are unpaid. However, I want to know if the bank will issue a ban immediately after receiving the final settlement, or if they can only file a case if the security cheque bounces for two consecutive months.

Q: Good morning, I bought a push car for my infant, and it broke after 2 weeks of use. It was an expensive item from a reputable online store. Repair is not possible due to torn wires inside the mechanism. I requested a replacement or refund, but the shop cited "wear and tear due to usage," claiming no spare parts were available and denied my request. I replied saying this is a very low-quality product if it breaks after 2 weeks of normal usage. I want to stress the fact that it is a baby product. It should be of the highest quality and safety. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My cousin was falsely arrested a week ago on charges of possessing drugs for distribution. A medical exam was conducted, but we have not received any results yet. The lawyer mentions that it is still pending, even though it has been 8 days. The lawyer requested bail, but it was rejected, and now his detention has been extended for another 2 weeks.
