What happens when the property is sold mid-lease?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, Does the existing tenancy contract between the tenant and the previous owner remain in force even after the new landlord has purchased the property in the middle of an ongoing lease? And when should a new tenancy contract be made? Should it be made immediately after the property has been sold, or at the end of the ongoing tenancy contract signed between the previous owner of the property and the tenant? Also, does a new contract have to be in place for the tenant to exchange the cheques, or does the existing tenancy contract with the previous owner remain valid for the purpose of exchanging the cheques?

How can we assign our branch newly registered trademark to our head office abroad?
Q: We are an Abu Dhabi foreign branch office of Bahrain and Bahrain is owned by the UK. We have successfully registered our logo with MOE using our Abu Dhabi trade license. However, our UK office said that all IP should be under the name of the UK head office. The UK wants to assign the trademark/logo to the UK head office. Can we assign/transfer the right to the UK? There are also other offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi using the same logo (they are all sister companies).

Q: Hello I lost my passport during shifting and I reported a lost certificate. Then after 5 to 6 days, I found my passport. After a few days, I was going to my country and immigration stopped me. They said first you have to clear your case. So then, I cleared my case from the police station and they said you are clear now. But in my Dubai police app, it`s still pending. How can I guarantee the safety of my child and I if I file divorce against an abusive husband?
Q: I am an Indian lady who is suffering domestic abuse and violence with video evidence. I work in the UAE and my husband is on a visit visa. He is traveling back to India and this is when I will issue the divorce papers. My fear is he will come back to the UAE and abuse me further once he sees the divorce papers. I don`t want to leave the UAE as this is where my job is. I have a 3-year-old son and want to remain safe here. Can I file a case to raise the child maintenance from outside if my ex-husband is in Dubai?
Q: Hi! I divorced my ex-husband in Romania where we were married. At that time, his salary was low because of the Covid situation and the court assigned him to pay our son`s maintenance of 300 euros. He has moved to Dubai (he was a pilot in Romania and he now works for an airline in Dubai). He makes a lot more, wouldn`t tell me how much but based on what I read online about the company, he is making between 7-8000 euros. He rarely comes back to Romania to see our son and he refuses to raise the child support amount he gives to him. Is there anything I can do according to the UAE laws considering I am not a resident of your country?

I won the case against my ex-employer based on a lower salary. Should I appeal?
Q: Dear all, I have just won my case against my former employer. However, the salary the court used for the calculations of my arrears is the one mentioned in the labor contract (46000 per month) instead of the actual salary paid out via WPS (55200). I hired one of the best law firms here, and we submitted salary slips, bank statements with credits, and a salary certificate with 55200 as the salary. However, the judge used 46000 to calculate the payout. Now, I have the option to appeal. But the difference is barely 20000 and from what I have heard, the appeal could take 2-3 months more. Q: Salam Everyone! I need some information. Actually, I am in Al Ain City and I have an employment visa of 2 years duration. At the same time, I also have an Omani visa with a duration of 2 years.
