س: وقعت عقد عدم منافسة مع الشركة التي كنت أعمل بها، وبموجبه لا أستطيع أن أعمل في نفس المجال أو أي مجال مشابه. كنت أعمل كمساعد مكتب، لكن الشركة أعطتني لقب "مساعد مبيعات" حتى يصبح العقد نافذًا. وأود أن أعرف، هل سيسبب لي هذا العقد مشكلة إذا عملت مع شركة منافسة؟2017/10/11

Checking visa status after exiting the UAE for more than six months
Q: I was on an investor residence visa in the UAE up to 2010. I had to leave back to my home country and stay due to family issues. In the meantime, my residence visa expired in 2011 and I did not go back since then. I apprehend, there might be some problems due to my long absence. الاحتياطات المتخذة أثناء إجراءات المحكمة لضمان حقوقك عند التنفيذ
س: أسعى للحصول على تعويض عن الأضرار التي نجمت عن استخدام شركة لاسمي في عمليات نصب. أنهيت إجراءات التقاضي حتى وصلت إلى محكمتي الاستئناف والتنفيذ واللتان أمرتا بتجميد أصول الشركة وحساباتها حتى تدفع لي المبلغ المحدد بموجب حكم المحكمة. المشكلة أنه تم حل الشركة العام الماضي ولم يعد لديهم أموالًا في البنك. والآن لا يوجد أصول للشركة، فكيف لي ملاحقة شركة لم تعد موجودة؟ وكيف يمكنني الحصول على حقي حقيقةً وليس فقط على ورق حكم المحكمة؟ لقد قضيت الكثير من الوقت وأنفقت الكثير من المال والجهد لأحصل على حقي، وعندما حان وقت الحصول على التعويض الذي حدده القاضي، لم يعد هناك شيئًا. هل هناك حل قانوني آخر؟ شكرًا.

How to find if there is any case against you in the UAE
Q: I had a job in Dubai, but four months ago I left for Pakistan due to an urgent matter. Now, I want to come back to Dubai but I had some unsettled matters and I just want to confirm that there is no legal case or complaint registered against me. I just want to avoid any surprises on arrival to the UAE like being detained at the airport, and I want to be prepared.

Labour court procedures when the employer fails to attend the hearings
Q: Hi. I have filed a labour case with Dubai court against my employer for the non-payment of salaries and final settlement. The amount is approximately AED 95000. My company did not appear for any hearing in the court, and after placing two public advertisements the judge has decided judgement date to be 30 November. Please advise what happens next. Checking an unforeseen police case after leaving the UAE
Q: Hi, I was employed in Abu Dhabi from September 2003 to February 2004 by a well known marine consultancy. The contract I had was initially for 6 months and then I could return to the UK or remain in Abu Dhabi full time. I informed my line manager in December that I would be leaving in three months, and that was my notice period. As far as I was aware, I did everything properly and left mid-February. I requested that any mail or bills be forwarded to me in the UK, this never happened. I left money in the bank (HSBC) to cover credit cards (two), only small amount of debt AED 1500. However, I expected my employer to forward all mail. I received a demand for money from an agent of HSBC which was duly paid. I since emailed the bank to ensure that I never owed anything. I believe that two former associates of the company deliberately opened and kept my mail. My question is how can I find out if there is a police case against me, please? Best regards, HM2017/10/10

Revision of employment contract to raise the basic salary

Actually, I have an employment contract and it needs to be revised because as per the Philippines labour law, my salary is below the minimum which is only AED 1100 basic salary. Avoiding a labour ban upon resignation during probation period
Q: I am in my probation period. My visa is a free-zone visa and my contract is an unlimited contract. The company is giving me additional work which is out of my job description due to the resignation of an old employee.
