Absconding case
Q: An absconding case is for those employees who do not inform their employer when they leave or who did not return back to work. But my case was different, I informed my employer regarding the accident which happened to me here in my country Philippines. I submitted all legal medical documents to support my extension of vacation leave. I was shocked when the office replied I`m no longer have a chance to go back to the UAE cause they have already filed an absconding case against me. Please, sir, help me for this. It`s not fair to me. Thank you very much for your kindness.

Descent case
Q: Hi, I am a son of UAE national and I have applied for a change in the family book in Ajman Immigration. My dad was not helping me to get UAE citizenship that`s why we went to court and we got the decision that I am his son and he has to apply for my passport and provide all the documents. Labor claim of a former employee
Q: I sold my company four months back in Sharjah, UAE and relocated to India. Salary reduction and end of service benefits calculation
Q: I have been working with a private company for 2 years and 10 months on an unlimited contract. Three months ago my employer cut Dh 3000 from our salaries and later asked us to sign a letter saying that we accept a deduction until the company`s financial condition improves. There has been no change in the contract though. My employer also increased our working hour by 30 minutes every day, for which we were sent an email. My questions are: 1. If I leave the company, can I claim the salary which has been deducted back? 2. Will my final dues be calculated based on the salary mentioned in my contract or the reduced salary? 3. Can I ask for overtime for the increased hours? It is mentioned in my contract that overtime will not be paid. ***

Who should pay district cooling charges: landlord or tenant?
Q: My landlord has requested the A/C company to bill the district charges to me. I have lived in the apartment for the past 2 years. Last week I received a bill with backdated charges since October 2016. My contract states I am responsible for water and electricity and does not mention A/C. I have paid for the usage of all the utility bills since moving in there. Who is responsible for the district cooling charges, and if it is the landlord, how can I stop the A/C company from billing me?2017/10/25

س: التحقت للعمل بشركة ذات مسؤولية محدودة في إمارة الفجيرة في شهر سبتمبر 2013، ووقعت عقدًا لمدة ثلاث سنوات. طبقًا لعقدي إن فترة الإخطار كانت 3 شهور. استقلت في الثامن من أغسطس 2015، ولكن لم تقبل الشركة استقالتي وأجبرتني على إكمال مدة العقد. بدأت الشركة في تهديدي، وبطريقة ما أكملت فترة الإخطار واستطعت الهرب من هناك. الآن لا تعطيني شركتي راتبي عن مدة 22 يومًا في شهر نوفمبر، ولا 19 يومًا بدل أجازة، ولا المكافأة المعلقة حتى شهر مارس 2015، ولا تقوم أيضًا بإلغاء تأشيرتي. قمت بالفعل بالتواصل مع السفارة الهندية، ولكنهم فشلوا في حل المشكلة. هل يمكنني القدوم إلى دولة الإمارات والعمل مرة أخرى؟ أم أن إلغاء التأشيرة أمر إجباري؟2017/10/25

Getting a refund from an immigration consultant
Q: I had signed up with an immigration consultant for immigration to Canada. According to the contract I would be refunded the full amount if my application did not get through in a year.
